25 Casual Spring Outfits to Wear

Spring has finally sprung here in Pennsylvania, and I’m so excited for lighter layers, more color, and the challenge of mixing up my wardrobe staples in new ways. If you’re looking for a little inspiration, I’ve rounded up 25 casual spring outfit ideas for women in 2025. These looks are easy to recreate with pieces you might already own, and they’re perfect for everything from everyday errands to weekend plans.

I’ll link everything I’m wearing under each photo, along with my sizes, to make it easy to shop. And if you have any questions about how something fits, just ask—I’m happy to help!

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and I usually wear a small or medium in tops and dresses, a 29 or 30 in jeans and pants, and a size 8 shoe. Gifted items are indicated by c/o; everything else I purchased myself.

What to Wear This Spring: 25 Casual Outfit Ideas

A trench coat is a quintessential spring layer, and I love the clean, minimal lines of this one. I styled it here with a fresh green and ivory striped sweater, straight-leg blue jeans, and white leather sneakers.

I wore the same jeans and sneakers with a white scoop neck tee and an olive green linen bomber for a look that’s a little more casual but still polished and on-trend. I added hoop earrings, a pendant necklace, a gold bangle, and a beige belt to pull it all together.

Side note: This jacket is on sale at Bloomingdale’s right now, and the jeans are marked down on the MOTHER website.

In this look, a striped pullover and dark wash relaxed jeans are a classic combination, but the grommet neckline adds a playful twist, and the beige suede sneakers are a softer, more unexpected alternative to white. I carried a taupe woven bag to coordinate.

Side note: These jeans are super soft and comfy, and they just went on sale! (They’re TTS or size down if in between.)

Olive green pants are another quintessential spring wardrobe piece, and they’re a great alternative to jeans. This cropped wide-leg pair with front patch pockets gives the look a modern update for 2025. I wore them with a black and white striped top and finished the outfit with a black cropped utility jacket.

I’ve shared this outfit several times before, but I wanted to include it here because this cute little cropped bubble hem jacket is still fully stocked—and it’s marked way down at LOFT ($48.30, down from $140!). I wish I’d added a brown or beige belt to finish off the look, but I love the combo of medium wash flares, a classic white tee, and navy cropped jacket with white contrast stitching.

This is pretty much the same look, but with a black utility jacket, and this time I remembered to add a belt!

This outfit formula is so easy, it almost feels like cheating—just a white tee, jeans, sneakers, and a sweater tied over the shoulders. So chic! The drapey wide-leg jeans add a trendy touch, but you can wear any style you like.

Another trench coat look—this time with a navy and white striped sweater, blue jeans, and boat-style loafers that feel a little more elevated than the classic version. It’s a preppy combo with a modern twist.

This tipped Johnny collar polo sweater in black with white ribbed trim is just begging to be paired with white denim—another one of my go-to warm weather wardrobe staples. It has a sporty, preppy vibe that feels fresh for spring. I bookended the look with black wedge slides to tie it all together.

This time, I styled white ankle flare jeans with a red and white striped sweater—a classic color combo for spring. The brown sandals and raffia bag add warmth and texture.

My love for stripes knows no bounds, apparently! This navy and white striped sweater is from last season, but there are so many similar options available right now. I paired it with cropped wide-leg blue jeans, brown slides, and a raffia bag with leather trim for a warm contrast. A simple station necklace and raffia hoop earrings finish off the look.

Same outfit, different vibe—I swapped the sandals for white leather sneakers and added a cropped trench on top to keep the look modern and on trend.

Here’s that same cropped trench, styled with a white tee, white jeans, and neutral sandals and bag.

Style tip: With a simple outfit like this, accessories make all the difference—especially since I’ll most likely take off my jacket indoors. I added a pendant necklace, rattan hoop earrings, and a belt to define the waist and tie in the sandals and bag.

As much as I love neutrals, spring is a great time of year to experiment with color, and I love how this bright orangey-red muscle tee pairs with light wash crop jeans. The linen-blend utility jacket in a modern shorter length is the perfect topper, and I wore white sneakers with beige accents to tie it together. Then I added bold silver hoops along with a taupe belt and bag for a cohesive finish.

For another crisp spring look, I paired white jeans with a cropped blue and white pinstripe button-up. I added brown slides for a warm contrast, and the chartreuse cardigan over the shoulders keeps it fresh and seasonal.

Monochromatic looks are an easy way to keep things feeling modern in 2025. When I was in Florida a few weeks ago, I layered a beige jacket over this beige and white striped square-neck tank, paired with white jeans. I finished the look with my favorite light brown slides, a coordinating belt, and a rattan bag. Wood statement earrings in similar neutral tones and a delicate bracelet stack pull it all together.

Speaking of monochromatic looks, this one’s from last summer, and instead of light neutrals, I went with a chic all-black outfit. The linen wide-leg pants and ribbed tank add texture to keep it interesting, and the cropped utility jacket is right on trend. I finished the look with a black belt and gold jewelry, and added raffia earrings and a raffia bag for an organic touch that softens the all-black palette.

Ecru jeans are a soft, easy alternative to bright white. I paired these with a pretty blue cowl neck top and layered on a navy French terry peacoat for a casual, polished feel. The brown ballet flats, belt, and bag add a warm contrast.

Side note: These ecru MOTHER jeans are a great deal right now at Nordstrom Rack!

This is a travel look I wore to Nashville last month with the same French terry peacoat. I kept it simple with a white tee and relaxed straight-leg jeans in a darker blue wash with an ankle-length fit. The white leather sneakers were perfect for lots of walking, and they tie in with the tee to keep the look light and fresh for spring and summer.

Side note: I love the scoop neckline and fluttery sleeves on this cotton/rayon blend tee because it’s polished enough to wear on its own when I take the jacket off. I finished the look with a light beige belt and a few simple pieces of jewelry.

Here’s another option for a cropped knit peacoat—the Frank & Eileen Mini Belfast, made from their iconic Triple Fleece sweatshirt fabric. I really like the contrasting horn buttons on this one. I styled it with a white henley tee, slim straight jeans, and boat shoes for a modern twist on a classic look.

I will never get tired of a white tee and blue jeans, and I love the luxe fabric, fit, and details of the FRAME Le Mid Rise V-Neck. Here I paired it with dramatic wide-leg blue jean flares and kept it comfy with the Birk Madrid in Sand. The bright pink jacket adds a fun pop of color when layered on top, but the outfit stands on its own thanks to the elevated fabric and flattering fit of both pieces.

And these are the same jeans, this time paired with a light and airy white linen button-up. I wore raffia slides and carried a brown woven tote to keep the look relaxed and summery.

Another option is a black button-up, and this one is made of Frank & Eileen’s “Featherweight” lighter than air cotton fabric, so even though it’s black, it feels light and airy. This time I went with metallic sandals and kept the rest of my accessories simple.

Linen pants are another spring/summer wardrobe staple I wouldn’t want to be without, and while I love the classic black pair I’m wearing above, a bright color is a fun way to switch things up. Here I wore bright pink linen wide-leg pants with a simple white v-neck tee and topped it off with a classic denim trucker jacket.

Style tip: To keep the look modern for 2025, try a denim jacket with an oversized fit or interesting details—like the KUT from the Kloth Lana Two-Pocket Jacket or the Gap Factory SuperSoft Denim Utility Jacket.

Call it basic, but a white tee + blue jeans is my forever favorite, so I figured this look is the perfect one to end on! This outfit formula is the one I always come back to when I’m short on time, stuck in a style rut, or trying to pack smart. It’s easy, reliable, and somehow never feels tired.

The key is choosing a quality tee with a subtle detail or texture, and pairing it with on-trend jeans that fit just right. Then just add accessories! In this case, I wore tan slide sandals with polished stud details and a coordinating belt. I threw a textured chartreuse cardigan over my shoulders and finished the look with a pendant necklace, rattan hoop earrings, and a chunky gold link bracelet.

If I counted correctly, that’s 25 outfits! I hope these looks gave you some fresh ideas for how to style your everyday pieces this season—whether you’re sticking to the classics or mixing in a few trends. Let me know which outfit was your favorite, or if there’s one you’re planning to recreate. I always love hearing how you make these looks your own!
